Hi there!
My name is Will Snyder, a fourth-year Urban Planning and Development student at Ball State University's College of Architecture & Planning. Originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, my passion for urban planning is rooted in my fascination with how people move from Point A to Point B, where homes and businesses locate and why they choose to do so, and what historic and current trends contribute to the growth or decline of metropolitan neighborhoods. These fascinations have matured into an interest in regional planning and policy work, particularly in how macro decisions about metropolitan areas affect cities, suburbs, neighborhoods, and individuals. It is my intent to be a contributor and a leader among a vast array of professionals who work to rethink our places of life, work, and play.
This website is dedicated to sharing my projects, my experiences, and my ideas as an emerging professional in the field of planning. While my work and words are my own, my accomplishments cannot go without crediting the incredibly talented faculty at Ball State University's College of Architecture & Planning.
Career Goals
Graduating in Spring 2022, I am actively seeking an associate planning role in community or economic development. I am a well-exercised communicator and collaborative leader with proficiencies in geographic information systems, design software, and demographic analyzation, combined with municipal internship experience in north suburban Chicagoland.
My portfolio is available as a downloadable PDF below, along with my resume and contact information. I am always looking for new networking opportunities (and coffee shops!), so please do not hesitate to connect via social media or my contact form.
