IMMERSIVE LEARNING PROJECTÂ WITH THE MUNCIE ACTION PLAN
Project Background
Sustainable Muncie is a comprehensive community indicator project that aims to collect, visualize, and analyze metrics of resilience and sustainability. This project provided intermediate training on the workflow processes and tools in ArcGIS Pro, including downloading attribute data from government databases, running feature class analysis, and exporting visually explicable map frames. Developing these mapping skills allowed our studio cohort to visualize demographic, zoning, land use, and critical infrastructure data across the city of Muncie. With this information, a series of recommendations were made based on observed inefficiencies and published to an ArcGIS StoryMap, allowing for interactive access to map visualizations.
